FunJams helps people find and join local activities happening now. Unlike apps focused on planned events, it enables casual meetups, city exploration, and provides visibility for small businesses.

Goals

Aggregate real-time events in one place.

Reduce social anxiety with reliable information (who’s attending, spots, dress code).

Offer affordable promotion for local businesses and organizers.

Building on the key insight that "people are largely planners looking for a more efficient way to plan their spontaneous outings and connect with others" I've decided to narrow the project focus.

The core user is now The Social Explorer. This individual is primarily motivated by a strong desire to expand their social circle, forge new connections, and actively discover fresh, local experiences right where they live.

Before / After

RE: Iterate the Onboarding

Pain Point:

Users need immediate clarity at the onboard, phrases like "Rally your people" caused confusion and they looked like buttons

Replaced vague, action-oriented phrases with clear, descriptive explanations of the app's core functionalities

Eliminated button-like text containers for non-interactive elements

RE: Iterate the Filters

Before

After
