Overview
FunJams helps people find and join local activities happening now. Unlike apps focused on planned events, it enables casual meetups, city exploration, and provides visibility for small businesses.
Goals
✦ Aggregate real-time events in one place.
✦ Reduce social anxiety with reliable information (who’s attending, spots, dress code).
✦ Offer affordable promotion for local businesses and organizers.
Respondents
42 participants (mostly 25–34, many expats in Barcelona). About half were not living in their hometown.

✦ Planners want efficiency in spontaneous plans.
✦ Fear of going alone; need to know who else is attending.

Building on the key insight that "people are largely planners looking for a more efficient way to plan their spontaneous outings and connect with others" I've decided to narrow the project focus.
The core user is now The Social Explorer. This individual is primarily motivated by a strong desire to expand their social circle, forge new connections, and actively discover fresh, local experiences right where they live.
